How secure is the storage?
Very. Our Manchester facility is CCTV-monitored 24/7 and we've stored over 5,000 students' belongings across 15+ years. Each customer's items are kept clearly separated using your personal ID stickers. Your stuff is only ever handled by our own team in our own vans — we never use third-party couriers or sub-contractors.
Is my stuff insured?
Standard insurance is included — full details in our
terms and conditions. You can purchase additional cover if needed.
How long can I store for?
Each booking covers any 6-month period — collect when you need, deliver back when you need, within that window. Need longer? Just contact us and we'll arrange it.
How do I get the empty boxes?
We deliver them within 48 hours of purchase. You'll get a text once they've been dropped off. Need them sooner? Just give us a call after booking and we'll get them to you.
When will you collect the boxes?
We'll collect on the day you want. You can pick a date at checkout if you've already got one in mind, or just call/WhatsApp us once you know — we'll book you in. Ideally give us 24 hours notice.
Do I need to be there for collection or delivery?
No — as long as you've given us a point of contact (yours or a friend's number) and your halls or accommodation are aware and can open the door, we're good. We'll photograph everything we collect and email you a receipt so you've got a full record.
How big is each box?
Each box is 60 × 40 × 40 cm — strong double-walled cardboard, big enough for clothes, books, bedding, kitchenware, or a mix.
What if items don't fit in a box?
Send us a photo on WhatsApp and we'll advise. If an item still has its original box (TV, monitor, microwave, etc.), please use that — these need to be properly packaged so we can transport them safely to storage.
Can you take mirrors and clothes rails?
Yes — small flat items like mirrors and clothes rails are fine and don't count towards your box count. Please note we can't accept liability for mirrors in transit, so pack them with care.
Can I add more boxes if I run out of space?
Yes — just give us a call. We can add to your booking and let you know any difference in price before collection day.
Can I split a deal with my friend?
Yes — we can collect from and deliver to multiple addresses. Extra charges may apply depending on locations. WhatsApp us with the details and we'll quote you.
Do you work weekends? What hours do you collect?
We're open all year round. Collections and drop-offs are normally between 9am and 5pm. During June and September we work 7 days a week, with weekend collections usually before midday. Outside these months, just get in touch and we'll arrange a time.
I don't know when I'm leaving yet — I haven't booked my flight.
That's fine. Order the boxes, get packing so you're ready, and as soon as your flight is confirmed just send us a message — we'll come round ASAP to collect.
I don't know my return delivery details yet — is that ok?
That's totally fine. Most students don't know yet when they book. Just message us a few days before you want your stuff back, once your new address is confirmed, and we'll sort it out.
How do I identify my boxes?
We'll issue you with personal ID stickers — just stick one on the front of each box and any other items we're storing. That's how we keep everyone's stuff cleanly separated and easy to find when delivery time comes.
