Not everything fits neatly in a box — and that’s fine. We offer flexible storage combinations without hidden fees for non-boxed items. Here’s how we count your items:

🔄 Box Equivalents

  • ✔️ 1 small suitcase (up to 60 × 40 × 40 cm) = 1 box
  • ✔️ 1 large suitcase (larger than 60 × 40 × 40 cm) = 2 boxes
  • ✔️ Your own large box (over 60 × 40 × 40 cm) = 2 boxes
  • ✔️ Guitar in hard case = 1 box
  • ✔️ TV (must be in a TV box) = 1–3 boxes
  • ✔️ Office chair = 3 boxes
  • ✔️ Mountain bike = 4 boxes
  • ✔️ Furniture (e.g. desk) = 4 boxes
  • ✔️ Foldable rails, clothes horses, or mirrors = 0 boxes (no charge)

1. How does your student storage service work?
We deliver free boxes and tape, you pack, and we handle collection, secure storage, and redelivery.
2. What can I store?
You can store anything. The only things we don't store are perishable, hazardous, or illegal items. If you have items that can’t be boxed, it's best to WhatsApp us a picture and we’ll advise you on the best way to go about it. You can also use your own suitcases, bags, and boxes for storage — for example, one suitcase is equivalent to one box.
3. How much does it cost?
Our student service offers fixed prices for up to 6 months of storage. Prices include empty boxes, collection, storage, and delivery. The most commonly used package is the 12-box deal, which costs £360. The price increases depending on how much you store.
4. What areas do you cover?
We cover Manchester, Salford and all of the North West, including Liverpool, Leeds and Sheffield.
5. How long can I store my items?
Our prices include up to 6 months of storage. The price is the same whether you store your items for 1 week or 6 months. If you require longer storage, please contact us for a discounted long-term rate.
6. When will you deliver my boxes and collect my items?
Your empty boxes will be delivered within two days of ordering. If you require them on the same day, please contact us. We will collect your items and take them to storage on your desired collection day. You can enter this date at checkout or contact us once confirmed after ordering. This is not essential at the time of ordering.
7. How do I book?
Click on the “Book Now” button on this page and follow the easy steps to schedule your service. It only takes a few minutes.
8. Are my items insured?
Yes, basic insurance is included. Additional coverage is available upon request.
9. Can I access my items while in storage?
Yes, you can by arrangement during office hours. Emergency access is available but may be subject to an additional charge.
10. How do I get my boxes back?
Simply contact us within 48 hours of needing your items back, and we’ll book you in for delivery to your new address. If you're moving out of Manchester, please give us seven days' notice.
11. Do I need to be present for collection and delivery?
Ideally yes, but if you're unavailable — for example, if you're leaving for a flight — your halls reception may be able to open the door for us. You can also arrange for someone else to be present or leave instructions for safe access. Just let us know in advance.
12. What size are the boxes, and is there a weight limit?
Our boxes are 60cm x 40cm x 40cm — large, double-walled, and strong. The maximum weight is around 30kg per box, as long as it can be safely lifted and the box remains intact. We recommend spreading heavy items like books across multiple boxes to avoid overloading.
13. Can I store large or awkward items like a bicycle or TV?
Yes, we can store larger items. Please send us a photo on WhatsApp, and we'll confirm how to handle it and how it will be priced.
14. Can I cancel or change my booking?
Yes, you can make changes or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your scheduled collection. Contact us as soon as possible to update your booking.
15. Is the storage facility secure?
Yes, our storage facility is monitored 24/7 with CCTV, alarm systems, and restricted access. Your belongings are kept safe and secure.
16. Can I label or track my boxes?
Yes. We provide labels — just stick them on the front of your boxes. If anything is unlabelled, don’t worry. Our collection driver will handle it and ensure everything is logged correctly.
17. Are you a local company or a national provider?
We’ve been operating in Manchester for over 15 years. We’re locally based, easy to contact, and our own trusted team handles every collection and delivery. We don’t use couriers or postal services like some national providers — you deal directly with us.
